University of the Virgin Islands: UVI Students Win Again at National Science Conference

Two University of a Virgin Islands students won awards during a Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) hold in Orlando, Florida from Nov. 5-8. More than 700 universities participated in a conference as well as roughly 3,000 people attended.

Marine biology vital Kavita Balkaran won a most appropriate verbal display endowment as well as biology vital Howard Forbes won a most appropriate print endowment in a physiological sciences category. Both students have been from St. Croix as well as attend UVI’s St. Thomas campus. Read More
